Today after breakfast proceed to Classic Golden Cirle Tour. The tour starts with a stop in Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site listing and the birthplace of the oldest existing parliament in the world. This is also where the gigantic tectonic plates of America and Eurasia have pulled apart and the resulting rift valley is right there before your eyes on the shores of Iceland’s biggest lake. The next stop is at Geysir Hot Springs, the home of the one-and-only original geyser and Iceland’s most iconic natural attraction. Here the ground trembles and steaming hot water spouts spectacularly skywards from the famous Strokkur Geyser every few minutes. Then proceed for next stop Gullfoss Waterfall, which is an awesome sight to behold. Here a powerful glacial river cascades down 32 meters on two levels and into a narrow canyon with a thunderous roar. Later return to your hotel. Overnight in Reykjavik
Today proceed for Whale Watching tour from Old Harbour in downtown Reykjavík. Take part in an unforgettable adventure at sea. Observe whales and sea birds in their own environment. Return to your hotel. Later in the evening enjoy magnificent Northern Lights. On a dark winter night in Iceland, join a mysterious tour looking for the Aurora Borealis. Far from the glow of Reykjavik city, we hunt for the elusive Northern Lights. On this evening tour we may be lucky enough to see them swirling and dancing across the sky changing endlessly colour, shape and size. The tour not only sets out to find the legendary Northern Lights, but you'll also have the opportunity to pinpoint some of the stars & constellations in the sky. Overnight in Reykjavik.
Note: These tours are subject to the correct weather conditions and sightings cannot be guaranteed even if the tour is operated. To search for the Auroras you need to stand outside in the Icelandic winter and you need to dress very warmly.
